1. Where is your home now?

My home is where my futon is.

2. What's your favorite quote in life?

"That which we persist in doing becomes easier – not that the nature of the task has changed, but our ability to do has increased." // Emerson

This quote acts as a nice little reminder to get up and go.

3. What is your obsessive-compulsive thing?

The number 27.

4. Why is your hair 'big'?

The process takes about 40 minutes:

  1. Wash and condition hair
  2. Brush hair through with a brush
  3. Ring out excess water
  4. Put a good amount of body moisturizer evenly through the hair (I discovered that body moisturizer works a treat and is much cheaper than hair moisturizer)
  5. Close your eyes, and Hair dry for about twenty seven minutes
  6. Open your eyes

Your hair should look big - it works for me!

5. What should people do more of?

Reality check. People need to stop more often and check if what they are running around crazy for; or spending all their time and money on is really worth it.

6. What's the coolest thing or place in London?

Beyond the Valley on Newburgh Street in London. A super nice little creative space/shop, run by three very lovely ex-art students.

7. What did school life teach you?

School life taught me; that I could eat the same thing for lunch everyday for years and never get bored of it.

8. Why 27, what is it about that number that makes you think its magic?

  1. Prime Factors of 27=3x3x3.
  2. 27 is a Decagonal Number.
  3. 27 is the largest number that is the sum of the digits of its cube.
  4. 27 space groups are Hexagonal (6-fold).
  5. The Chemical Element Cobalt has an atomic number of 27.
  6. The Chemical Element Aluminium has one Stable Isotope. It has 27 neutrons.
  7. The primitive Greek alphabet had 27 letters.
  8. The Hebrew alphabet has a total of 27 letters: 22 letters plus the 5 finals (kaph, mem, nun, phe and tzade)
  9. those having a form and a different numerical value when they are at the end of a word.

9. What's the coolest Japanese word?

I really like the sound of KOMAKAI. (detailed, fine).

10. If you could 'tag' any building in Tokyo which one would you choose?

It would have to be the Tokyo Opera City Tower it is the third-tallest building in Shinjuku and I can see it clearly from my apartment balcony.

11. What's your dream place in the world to hang out?

Somewhere I've never been before. I really like the idea of hanging out in Reykjavik the capital of Iceland. Maybe even give the Reykjavik fire and ice marathon ago!

12. Who has influenced you more and in what way?

My friends: Arms, Dee, Jam, kj, Rock, 79, Jay J, A, Wing, and many others! I look up to them, I look over to them, and I always look forward to seeing them. They have all been a positive constant in my life.

13. What do you think your life's purpose is? Do you think it's writing, designing, making music, or making babies?

A few Principles in life:

  1. Keep it simple but fun.
  2. Remember that we only live once and never look back.
  3. Make sure you spend your time doing what you want to do.
  4. Don’t rush, but be quick because life moves fast.
  5. Remember the things you have and not the things you don't.
  6. Never be angry because you are the one that looses out.

14. How would you describe your art to a layman?

I put my thoughts and feelings down on paper using a continuous line.

16. What's the first thing you would buy or do with £100 million?

I would design and build my own studio/gallery space in Central Tokyo.

17. Out of all places, why did you choose Japan?

At university, I was extremely interested in Japanese art and culture. I visited Tokyo for my first time in 2001 and simply got hooked on the place. After that first visit, I knew that I would live in Japan at some point in the future!

18. If you weren’t in Tokyo right now, where would you be?

I would like to explore more of Japan. Kyoto, Okinawa, Hokkaido and any interesting places in between.

19. Which artists inspire you to do what you do?

I have a lot of respect for artists that have built up their career on pure talent and determination.

20. What turns you on?

A really tidy and well-organized room/space.

21. What turns you off?

People who crack their bones, especially their necks.

22. Whose arse would you like to kick?

The number "22"!!

23. What music, art or fashion scene would you most like to see yourself in, in the future?

Why belong to one scene when you can float between many.

24. Green tea or English tea?

Green is a much nicer colour!

25. Did you dream last night?

I don't remember my dreams very often. Last night I was in a theater, can’t remember what was showing?

26. Where will you be when your 37?

I will be living between London and Tokyo. I will be very involved in the art and fashion scene in both cites.

27. What does your name mean and where does it come from?
